Client Stories
Eamonn Considine, Co. Longford
I was diagnosed with MS 19 years ago but only discovered the Therapy Centre three years ago. Since I started attending, I feel I have not only physically benefitted from it, but it has also helped me to come to terms with my disability. It has made me realise the importance of staying physically strong and this then helps me mentally. The support I get from all of the staff is invaluable and they are always there when I need them. I look forward to my appointments and I hope to keep attending for many years to come.
Pat McLoughlin, Sligo
In early 2005 I set up my own business working as a welder and stainless fabricator. It was a dream come true. I loved my work, and thought nothing would go wrong. In 2007, my balance got bad. I felt I walked like a drunken man at times. In 2008 I was diagnosed with MS.I thought my world had ended, but now looking back, I think , maybe I was diagnosed in time. When I was diagnosed with MS, I heard about the MS Centre in Sligo. I never knew about it before, I arranged an appointment to see the Manager, and I have been using the Centre ever since. Life is different now, but not to bad. I would just like to thank all of the staff of the MS Centre for all their good work and help over the past three and a half years.

MS Therapy Centre Sligo, plays an important part in my MS. On Monday I am part of a group to have Hydro Therapy at Cregg House, accompanied by our Physiotherapist and helper. Friday means one to one physiotherapy for me. Every few weeks we have Reflexology or Massage which is so relaxing. All the Staff are friendly and caring. A cup of tea or coffee is offered, the minute one arrives. We are so lucky to have such a centre in Sligo. It gives all MS people, support and encouragement. we all appreciate everything done to help us.
Joe Bradley, Donegal
I live in Carrick Co. Donegal and I was first diagnosed with MS in 1988. I came to the MS Centre in Sligo in October 1993 and have been coming to the Centre for many years; there is a very caring but fun atmosphere and the staff are so dedicated and professional within their role at the Centre. I have been a Director of the Board of the MS Centre for several years and hope to continue to give my support and input to the Centre for many more years to come.
